GMI Biennial Report 2019-2021

July 4, 2022 6:29 pm

GMI Partnership presents its 2019-2021 Biennial Report. Highlights include our new website and logo, work conducted by our existing programmes and their dissemination through national conferences, and the extension of our services to other communities such as immigrants and newly arrived populations through our mobile testing bus. We have continued to grow the Partnership through new alliances with other like-minded organisations and by building capacity among our staff and volunteers. GMI continues to excel in its delivery; during 2019-2020 over 1,323 HIV tests were performed, of which 9% of service users had never tested before, with 495 outreach sessions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020-2021 service delivery was challenging but GMI sought creative ways to continue its work through online outreach sessions and remotely assisted HIV testing. Moving forward we will continue to address the sexual health needs of the LGBT and other minoritised communities while being flexible to any changes in the landscape.
