The GMI Partnership, established in 2008, is a collaboration between METRO Charity, Spectra and Positive East.
GMI is a partnership between three charities: METRO Charity, Positive East and Spectra. Collectively, we combine high quality HIV prevention and support services, with a pan London reach, delivered through a shared skill set and staff and volunteer base, which is firmly anchored in diverse communities.
We provide pan-London community-based sexual health services for diverse groups such as Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and migrant communities. Our services include:

Our core staff work seamlessly across the three agencies, maintaining a strong GMI Partnership identity and open, collaborative approach to service design and delivery. Core staff roles are in direct client delivery, outreach management, research and performance management, data management, contract liaison, volunteer co-ordination and social media management.
Our ongoing outreach to MSM in London has delivered near 5000 sessions in 150 venues, reaching over 600,000 individuals.
Each partner agency brought distinct strengths to the GMI Partnership. These include their experiences of long-established community work, connections with communities, stakeholders and health and social care professionals and their local knowledge in the areas of London in which they were established.
GMI is governed by a Memorandum of Agreement (2020) with management and accountability roles resting with an Executive Group and a Steering Group. GMI has a core staff consisting of one full-time and six part-time employees and over 60 volunteers. Employees and members of the aforementioned Groups are equally constituted from each of the Partner organisations.
