Changes in HIV testing since COVID

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, GMI partners have enabled three options for you to get the test done. Our free testing service is available to all London residents.

Meet us in the venues

We are offering free HIV rapid tests in many locations across London. Find out where and when we are that is most convenient for you. You don’t need to book an appointment for this; just show up and talk to our staff. They will be able to test you and address any sexual health concerns you might have.

Testing in our offices

Currently, we are offering weekly face to face testing for MSM at our partner agencies’ offices (via booking). If you prefer a setting that’s more private but less clinical, please book an appointment to visit us in our office.

Please check our HIV testing events for more details.

Please do not attend any face to face services if you are having any cold or flu symptoms, or answer “yes” to any of the following questions.

Today or within the last 10 days,

  • Have you had a high temperature?
  • Have you had any of the following symptoms: a new, continuous cough or a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste?
  • Have you tested positive for COVID-19?
  • Have you been contacted by the NHS test and trace services and asked to self-isolate?
  • Are you self-isolating after returning or entering the UK?
  • Has anyone in your household or your close contacts had (or does anyone currently have): a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change to, their sense of taste or smell?
